Mostly I'm just testing a photo hosting site - but to do it here are a few pictures of a knee mill I acquired earlier this year. Grubby but mostly in good order (and it was cheap). I'm currently making repairs to the belt drive and going overboard with those, but it should be back online soon.

Making a new pulley sheave from a block of onhandium. Actually Alca 5 cast tool plate - it was half the price of an appropriate piece of round bar / rod.

I’m trying the image site crueby uses. Seems pretty decent - easier to use than onedrive personal. MJM has encouraged me to post a log of my next engine, which I will start after work on the mill belt drive is finished - not too far off now.

More screwing around with postimage. It seems pretty good actually - free and no sign of an ad or even upcoming ads. I like it.

So more turning of the new pulley sheave





New sheave on the left, partially repaired sheave on the right, center boss for repaired sheave in the middle.



So the boss went in some dry ice, and the welded / turned sheave went in the oven.



That all worked, and I had a go at broaching and that worked as well.





I added scotch keys to the repaired sheave just for good measure.



Since I was screwing around with dry ice today, I threw some in my evening restitution for dramatic effect.

This postimage facility is good. It doesn't have editing capability so I see I need to make sure pics are oriented properly before uploading. I'm fine with that - I like embedding pics in the text this way so that they have the right context for the reader. The attachments thing I don't like much. You read the post, then have to decipher the pics to the text.

OK - postimage it is then.

Meanwhile the Cincinnati edges a few more steps forward.

Pics are coming through fine. I've been  using postimg for several years now, overall I  like it though some days, not often, it doesn't  respond well when uploading. Rare, overall its fine. I  have lots of photos there, use the Direct Link option when posting here. I resize all my images to 725x500 before uploading there, that size works good for forum posts. I keep the original  hi res pics on my local computer.
