Odds and ends hit and miss

Getting this running has been very challenging. I believe some of the things that helped are, using a GM 4 pin HEI module with a proximity switch to fire the spark plug, using a o-ring instead of a cast iron piston ring, using a o-ring to seal the intake and exhaust block, using a o-ring to seal the exhaust block to the cylinder, using pre-mixed 2 stroke fuel, one governor spring instead of 2. It seems to flood very easily which took me a minute to figure out. If I just shut the ignition off to stop it, it continues to draw fuel in causing it to flood. It’s better to just shut the fuel needle off to stop it. Here’s a video of it running

Your engine is running nice, but regarding the fuel flooding, have you got your fuel tank mounted too high to cause gravity feeding, the top of your fuel tank should  be level with the needle valve allowing the engine to suck the fuel into the intake.

Nice running engine. What is the bore , stroke , flywheel dia. ?

The bore is 1”
The stroke is 1-3/8”
The flywheels are 5” diameters
