Very much looking forward to follow this one  :LittleAngel:

The catalog includes a picture of one these cranes at the Pan Pacific Expisition in San Fransisco in 1915, so this particular design is at least that old. The company has since been absorbed into other companies that do still exist.

There's hardly been time to properly clean the popcorn machine, and now, it starts all over again!

Sounds like you will have your own heavy construction company after this one!

Chris,
1:11 scale in standard gauge track works out to 5.159" track gauge at scale.  If you tweak the track width just slightly it will be capable of operating on 5" track,  of which there is a fair amount (maybe not as much in the USA but for sure UK, Europe, Australia and 1 up here in Canada near me).

Looking forward to this build.
Mike

Thanks  Mike!

I'm going to  attach the wheels to their axles with taper locks, so if the need ever arises I  should be able to adjust the gauge to suit.
