Somehow I missed the water tank going in, but since it's done, I'm betting that got in there too, eh?

Thanks for sharing your build with us Chris!

Yup, its in there! Forgot to photograph it  specifically,  just a rectangle, open at the top. I  bent it around a piece of wood.

to others:
When I am king, graffiti will be a capital crime and there will be perpetual open season on feral "graffiti artists".
I want to skip king and go to Galactic Overlord. Then I could have them dropped into the sun, slowly.

I totally agree.  Someday I may take a spare battery, and a jerry can of diesel, and see if she'll fire back up...well, in my dreams.  :embarassed:

I do have a builder's plate I photographed (under the cab, on the rotating frame members), on my good camera.  Will try and remember to post it here.

Yes, would love to see the plate, and see which type of mach8ne it is!

I've been using a 2000 mill for a while now. I got it on a whim. It can be a pain sometimes. Now I put a sign on it after I finish anything to check tram before next use. I also have a 5400.

It will be interesting to see how it  holds tram with the extra bar. And without the grease!  I found it very easy to adjust the tilt with both screws there, could fine tune it back and forth with the hex wrench, then tighten things.

Sorry this took so long, Chris.  I had the builder's plate on my home laptop, which for some reason decided to download new system software and delete everything in my documents and pictures folders, along with the desktop, all of my solid model files, and the 3d printer software I'd downloaded.  I'm now finally getting to the documents and photos, which I had backed up.  Attaching them below...I hope.  I also lost the MS-Paint application which I could use to resize the photos.  IF they don't come through I will bring them in to work on Tuesday and try uploading them again.

Below, the first photo should be the builder's plate for the cable-driven shovel (SPEEDER MACHINERY CORPORATION CEDAR RAPIDS IOWA) and a list of patents, the last of which might put an earliest date on the rig - US Pat. 1753567 or possibly 1753367.  Hmm, google patent search doesn't make sense for either of those, but the 1753xxx to 1758xxx patent date range is the 1930's, so it's sometime after that.

Also the bucket has a builder's plate, second picture below - PETTIBONE MILLIKEN CHICAGO ILLINOIS.  And what I think read "1.38 YARDS CUBIC CAPACITY"

Ok, the pictures are not going thru, will try again on Tuesday.
