When I think about it, I'm happy when readers of my posts respond. And if it's just a short "looks good 👍". But I know I'm on the right path. I read most of the posts in this forum, even though I don't know much about combustion engines and therefore can't contribute anything.
But it broadens my horizons.
A closed construction report without comments reminds me of some of my posts in other forums where I write, where there is no comment at all and I lose the desire to post there.
What I like about this forum is that you don't feel so isolated and someone almost always responds to posts.
Thanks.

Michael

From my perspective a forum is a public place where a thing, procedure or idea is open to inspection, consideration, judgement and comment. A build thread with only authorial input is essentially a technical manual. The former is by its nature communal the latter is an exclusive exposition of ideas. Both have their place, though I would suggest there are opportunities to learn more if others angles of view, and or experience, is integrated with the authors at or near the time of  posting. I have experienced much enlightenment from contributors as well as the authors words and pictures. If there is a desire/need for the technical manual approach then maybe a "Build Manual" section could be offered on the site. Regards, Paul Gough.

I would like more interaction. Not less.
