Just received an upcoming collaberation project from Bernie Clark over in Australia. It's a Hemingway Drill Sharpening Jig kit. Should be a fun little project. I'll get started on it as soon as the Coles is done.

That's a nice torch!  You'll be pleased with that!  You might want to get a few different sizes of burners though.  You won't always want that big guy!

Thanks Kim,
I'm planning on picking up the other tips for it as well. Hope to put it to use this summer on a boiler for the Green Arrow.

Got some more work done. Finished up the con rod and bearings.

I used a .044 drill bit to drill in the oil port and chamfered it with a 90* chamfer tool.

After doing some measurements I still needed to remove .013" off of the bearing pillars to get the crank centerline with the piston rod. After that, I just assembled the piston rod assembly and used a transfer punch to mark the first bolt location on the bearing pillars. Drilled and tapped the first hole, then the second. Once those two were done, the last two were easy. I just freehanded tapping the holes and it turned out well. Finally got the crank locked down to the base! Everything is a little tight right now, as it should be, but it turns over smoothly!

That engine is looking great. I like the contrast of the brass and cast iron too.
