Red One

Davyboy:
Another Engine I bought last summer is this Red One.  I don’t have any info on the maker or age of the model.  The frame is a brass casting, flywheel is steel.  It ran as soon as I put some air to it.   So it looks like a bath and some new paint is in order, as well as making a base.  Here’s a few before pics.

Davyboy:
And some after pics.  It was a pretty easy clean and repaint job.  The flywheel still has some patina and pits in it, just for character.  I had to make a ¼-40 MTP acorn style plug for what I assume was the original supply line.  I put the new inlet low on the stand for a cleaner look.  Not sure I like the brass acorn nuts, I may change to nickel plated to match the rods and flywheel.

Davyboy:
And a video of it running on about 10 psi.
