But it's a tough time of year if you are a Turkey    :help: :help:
It is the journey that matters, not the destination

Sometimes, it can be a long and winding road

It's the best of the year-end holidays...

No gifts to buy or annoying elevator music like Xmas.

No disguised, little extortionists-in-training hitting you up for contributions to their teeth rot.

You can gorge guiltlessly and get a shopping fix the next day.

Personally, I'd like to replace all these holidays with the Roman model; 12 months of 30 days each and then 5 or 6 days of Saturnalia at the end where you party anyway you like.

Holiday went great here. Still hearing shop-elf-snores coming from under the couch. And I think one is in the heating ducts somewhere...

Well   I made it through the product development of 2 years.....

It went well at the trade show!    Well received, and people eager to buy!

We were told this at the "all hands meeting" and they were very excited!

That was the first 6 minutes of the meeting....

the Second 6 minutes of  the meeting was to inform everyone that they would have a reduction of force....and some of those people who developed it are now gone....

So I'm thankful...that I was NOT part of that reduction in force.....   YET..  8)

I'm thankful that my daughter is getting healthier every day
I'm thankful that I've lost 40 pounds
I'm thankful to have a feast with my family.

The rest?    It's all fluff!

Glad there was a lot of good in that list Dave!  Hope the job continues...  40+ years ago when I started at Kodak, I was there 3 weeks when the first layoff happened at Christmas time. 30 years later the yearly layoffs ended (mostly) with corporate bankruptcy and shutdown of 90% of what was left by then. Thankfully for me I'd hit the 30 year mark and could retire. Been lots of fun since then!

Very Thankful to be able to spend the holiday weekend with our daughter and her family!
And to have made it through to retirement without becoming part of a "reduction".

Ron

I know very little about Thanksgiving but my niece and family arrived in Washington for her job just over a year ago. She thought it was rather early to be selling turkeys for Christmas!

It's good to hear that you made it through the workforce reduction and still have your job. We just went through that at my place of work and lost a bunch of folks. Where I work there are only 3 of us in the shop, so pretty hard to do what we do with any less.
I will never understand the thought process of large tech companies.

Good to hear that Ava is doing better all the time, and you are getting healthier too!

Best regards,
Dave

I think it was Kinky Friedman who mentioned the Native American Thanksgiving Day prayer.
Goes like this.
Thanks for nothin’
