Alex Karnes gives a walk-through and working demonstration of a 1908 steam engine driven water pump installation for the city of Woburn.  If you want (though you will miss a lot) skip ahead to about 1:04:00, where he talks about restoration and demonstration and the purpose of machines...here is someone who is very passionate about the idea of steam engines and restoration and teaching.  If you don't end up smiling by the end of his little speech, well...

What an amazing restoration and story!   Looks like I'll need to try and get enough info to add this one to my model list!   :Lol:   That engine was made by Platt Iron Works, a real beauty. Thanks for the video link!
