Thanks for the link; I do have some Sherline equipment - the mill has the ER-16, and having the oversize collets seems like a great idea, as many of the attachments I use on my larger machines (drill chucks, wobbler, tapping chuck, etc) use 12.7mm shanks.

I do like the Sherline stuff, but my go-to lathe is my Compact-8 with the VFD; it's just sooo nice! Sharing bits-n-bobs between machines (mills, lathes) makes it easy to find the bit-n-bob when you need it....
