Does anyone have information on the future of the NAMES show?

NAMES has run its course. The organization has been offered help and refused it. There have been offers to take over and carry it on and they have been refused. Unless something drastic happens, it aint happening.

I am unclear on whats happening in Zanesville. Paul was talking that he may not be involved with it this year. The people who run the car and air show will be handeling the model guys.

There is a new show starting in Indiana this year. I might drive down there and scope it out.

Yeah it's not looking good for the north east. Black hills show is a 20 hour drive.

Who knows!

If people are looking for a show, the Jacktown Fall show is always nice.  It is held the third  weekend in October in Bangor, Pennsylvania.  Bangor is situated in the Pocono Mountain region of the state.  The leaves at that time of the year can be breathtaking.

Below is a link to a post I made about the 2021 show that includes pictures.

(I apologize that the link doesn’t seem to work.  I don’t know why my IPad never copies links correctly on this site.  If you look under the shows topic, the last post in that thread was October 18, 2021.)

I’ve been told that George Luhrs and Rudy Kouhoupt amongst others use to attend the show.  They have a model engine pavilion that use to be full of model engine builders.  Anymore, I am the only one who sets up there.  There are also a few guys who set up in the grove.  It would be nice to see more builders attend and build the show backup.
