New Stuart 10H Completed and Run, Video

These castings had been sitting for too long, (1967 drawings and I have had them since 2010).  I hadn’t built an engine for a while and wanted to warm up before doing my Stuart Beam Engine, so this seemed to be just the thing.

It runs nicely.  I didn’t get too creative.  The only non-Stuart features are the domed cylinder cover and the piston rod being tapered where it enters the piston and cross head.  Even the paint is Stuart.  I plan to personalize the Beam Engine a bit more, but this one is pretty much standard.

Beautifully finished and presented build of Stuart's classic No 10 engine, like it very much.  Dave

Thank you for the kind words.  After seeing some of the amazing projects on this forum, I was hesitant to show my humble little 10H.  I do love the simple beauty of a basic engine.  The contrasting metals and finishes, (cast, machined, hand worked and polished), make for an appealing little engine.

I am glad that I found my way to this forum.  It is nice to be a part of such an eclectic community.  I enjoy seeing and learning about the projects and shops.
