Thank you for posting your work, I am a big fan of the Green Improved automatic cut off engines and will be following your progress. The Green engine is a complicated engine but well worth the effort to model. Did you know that Nathan Green actually worked for George Corliss for a short time when Nathan began his engineering career?Your foundation design is excellent, very much like a real engine would be installed, however I have not seen anyone reproduce it for a model. A great approach. Can you give us some more information on the drawings you used for reference when you made your drawings? Is this a model of an existing engine? Dennis
The steam engine looks good! And the floor too. What I always wanted to ask you was, did you ever show your models at the model steam engine exhibition in Austria (Doppel Mühle) at Alois?Michael
Hello Pavel,Yes, Alois doesn't do model shows anymore. But there will be a new venue this year. In Tulln on the Danube. This is near Vienna. Maybe not that far from you. But way too far for me.Greetings Michaelhttps://www.dampf-austria.at/
Thanks for the diagrams. I was enquiring as to whether the dash pots 0 and O1 in the last diagram, brass cylinders on your model, do they actually work. That is, do they cushion the gear at this scale and do you think they would be effective at smaller scales. Regards, Paul Gough.
I managed to get it started.....I'm quite happy about ithttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_wLbLHFWoc
