The Drawers are a lovely addition to the Bench

And I can't help Staring at those lovely small Planes   and wonder about the one where the 'Steel Blade' is 90 degrees to the Cut - what is it called and what is it used for (I have one or two full size of those among all my Maternal Grandfathers Tools) ?

That is a scraper plane, used for final smoothing.

decided some playing with metal, torches, hammers and files was needed.. forged out six cement nails blanks, got one roughed out, the tang will get filed a little more round with a step so a small washer can get soldered as a handle stop,, this will be the 1/4" flat chisel..final shaping and edging after oil quench hardening..

Too late...  :facepalm2:

Years ago I did build wooden models of a trebuchet and a ballista. They were great fun to toss little biscuits to the dogs!

I've wanted to make a little larger version and combine it with a squirrel feeder,, see if the annoying grey squirrels could quickly evolve into flying squirrels

This kind of bird feeder does that, the weight of the squirrel sets off the motor in the base...
