Greetings from the Great Whit North
« on: February 10, 2023, 03:50:41 PM »
Greetings all,

not sure if I did this already,,

so Hi (again maybe)

Brand new to the engine building game.

Building a new shop this spring, and then probably next winter get started.

In the mean time I've been buying some books, (of which some age good, others not so much) and trying to build a library of sorts.

I am now looking for any plans anyone is willing to share.

My preference is for almost anything vertical, and any type of beam engine.

Also does this forum have a classified section, I wasn't able to find one.

Thanks all,
Ken

Hi Ken,
Welcome to the forum!

So, are you looking for casting sets?  Or just plans so you can build from bar stock?

 :hi: Ken,

You have not mentioned your experience in machining or making models. If you are new to machining then Elmer Verburg did some nice simple models which would enable you to hone your machining skills while making them  :)

P.S. Julius redrew most of Elmer's engine and the drawings can be found here: http://www.modelesavapeur.com/telechargement7/index.html
