LBSC Canterbury Lamb - running on air

Hi all,

By way of testing posting and links etc etc I thought you might be interested in my Canterbury Lamb (Invicta) running on air.  This was some time ago and the tender is now complete with the boiler well underway.


If anyone can let me know how to get this video on the message that would be great!

Hopefully this is the right place for this and I have not broken any rules - still getting to know the place.

I dont know about imagur, but I have put videos on youtube and just posted the link here, and the video appears/plays right in the message, no special tags needed.

That looks so cute      Reminds me I have a mobile beam engine (locomotion)  in my collection that I must get round to building.

Beautiful workmanship in your chassis, and the video shows it running to perfection.  I see from your intro post that you are another enthusiast for the fine tools designed by GHT !   Dave

And some of the gubbins inside, there is a hand pump - made but not fitted to go in here:

More or less complete, needs making watertight, pump fitting and plumbed then the lid to the tank needs fitting, oh and a touch of paint eventually.
The edge of the body should be trimmed with half round when I get around to it.

Hopefully the photos are of interest.

Yes I consider GHT to be one of the best regarding tooling and have tried to emulate where possible.  He never used emery cloth for finishing apparently and if you see his finishes you wonder how!

Your "Lamb" is a very interesting rendition of the very early locomotive style. Small and manageable, and you've done a very neat and tidy job of the building. That tender is coming along to be a little jewel, and  I really like those fancy spoked wheels.
