No apologies necessary, Stuart.

The floor to ceiling rack sounds very similar to the company in Bloomington that I used to go to, Thompson Hardwood Lumber, but they are no longer there. They had a whole wall full of shelves of shorts, cutoffs, drops, whatever you wish to call them.  Pieces were in varying lengths from small blocks just a few inches to a side all the way up to pieces three or four feet in length.

Thanks for the info and the link, I will be checking them out.

Oh, and my apologies for not commenting on your build! It IS a very nice engine and you did a very nice job on the base as well. Three thumbs up from me!

Very handsome Stuart!

You can't beat a bit of woodwork therapy as chillout after an engineering project.

As for LRA (Living Room Abuse) - back in the mists of time I lived in a rented house with a bunch of other guys. A while after I left I heard that they unscrewed the living room door and chopped it up for firewood. I hereby state that I do not condone such behaviour, but you know how it went sometimes back in the day...

Like you, I am pleased to have moved on.
