3d Print Tool Holders
Shiroth:
After Snooping through other peoples shop pictures, I decided it was time to make some proper homes for some of the lathe toys.
Just plopping them in the drawer of the tool box or leaving them on and around the lathe wasn't helping the clutter.
So I figured I would give the printer a shot..
The printed holders seem to be strong enough.
That murphy guy showed up and threw a gremlin into the gears however... the printer stopped working properly and would just stop without any errors or warning midway at what seemed to be completely random times. After much investigation and troubleshooting, I did find the problem... The power wire to the print bed broke where it bends frequently moving back and forth. :zap:
So I must buy a new soldering iron to replace the wires..

I like the little dovetailed holders for the lathe tools, thats clever! It would get rid of the pile behind my lathe... hmmm!

Very nice!
I'm thinking now that I have a 3d printer I'm going to have to do another round of shop organizing sometime. Not sure when, but I'm feeling the itch!

I think everyone knows that itch far too much =) Its worse when you have a plan and the itch but no money to throw at it..
Ended up buying me a new soldering iron to fix the printer, it was delivered this morning and that itch hit.
Printer is back up and running now making more toys for the wall =)

Just had a thought - if I made some of those lathe-tool holders and mounted them on the wall next to my lathe, it would both clean up the bench and give the elves some excercise as they could use it as a climbing wall!
