Don1966, Thank you
« on: January 10, 2023, 06:17:59 PM »
I believe it was Don1966 who contributed the spread sheets for doing the math for gears. Because of the sheets I was able to figure out very easily what size blanks and how deep to cut, all that good stuff. The gears were 36 pitch so I could not buy them. I made the first one todat and it looks about right so THANK YOU for taking the time to do what you do!

Do not be like the cat who wanted a fish but was afraid to get his paws wet.

Don's spreadsheet has helped a LOT of us in making gears and gear cutters!

Thank you Don!

Thanks guys for the respect but I was just giving back to the group for all I learned here. Some of the sheets were not mine but their name is on those sheets. Glad that the sheets are useful and I know that making gears can be challenging these sheets are meant to help the novice in their quest to making them.

Thank you
Don

PS. For anyone wanting the spreadsheets just PM me with your email address and I will gladly send them to you. The file is too large to post to the forum and revisions have been made to it. So I have to send it to you. Your email will be safe with me.
