Looks great, Steve. I can't quite make it out, but are those weld beads I see?
Regards,
Ron

Couple more bits to show. The transmission case has been completed. I am going to learn to make my own gears so I may not have an update for a while.

Glad to help if I can Bubba!

Nice work on the gearcase, Steve.

A stepper driven rotary table on your CNC mill will work well for cutting gears.

The covers are Amazing to look at  :praise2:

 - but I can't help associate that look with modern Mopeds & Scooters CVT Transmissions (I repaired my Nieces cheap Chineese way too often) ....  :wallbang:
I guess that the Original is yet another one of those designs that never came to Europe  :noidea:

Couple of nice bits of CNC work on the axle and Gear casing, if you have "pencil" and an option in your CAM that should remove the "weld beads" that someone else mentioned.

Also looking forward to see how the Fenders turn out.

No welding. Must be marks from the tool.

Some of those weld beads are too much backlash in my 16 year old machine. I purchased the parts to upgrade the electronics so I can switch to Mach4. At that time I planned to deal with some things that have popped up over the years like backlash and an old motor. The motor finally failed and needs new brushes. I can put oversized balls in the screw to tak up the lash. She needs some love but I keep getting paying jobs engraving so I keep putting it off.

Seriously worth the $9 on Amazon...    And it has the plans for the Eureka Mechanism in it as well in case you want to make custom gear cutters....
