New year's resolution to finish it?    Then we could encourage you to make model engines instead of Locos: most are cheaper & quicker to build, easier to move around and just as challenging to build

The tender is on the back burner for the foreseeable future, mainly because, as you say, smaller engines and boilers are more satisfying! I only built the Brit because I could: I don't care for trains that much!
To be fair, last year I built the Stuart Beam engine, I'm currently working on the No.9, and I have all the bits for a Scotch boiler to drive both of them, so I'll be kept busy...

Probably the last picture of my Britannia before it goes on the sideboard to await the completion of the tender. It just need the LHS blinker. I have some other far more interesting projects to complete!

but these is huugee problems where to find plans for them
friend find one site that sell them but for 300+$ is a bit too much for hobby
