Anyone here from the UK, work at Davall's or their spin offs making flight data recorders?

I picked up a cute little lathe which I believe was made in the works during the 40's -60' s . It was previously owned by one of Davall's engineers who aquired the lathe when he left the firm in the 70's

I can't help with any details but what a splendid machine  :)  :)  :)

I do like the little vice and anvil

Yeah, that's what attracted me.  It's carved out of the main vice body  and has three 'hardy holes' for pinning gears etc.  (Davall's made clocks before ther branch into data recorders)

Thanks, I spent this afternoon making a handle for the cross-slide.  After fitting it, I want to modify it slightly.

Hi Bill,
Very nice to see the wee lathe finished. You don't hang about...it seems no time...since you said that it had just arrived ;-)

Regards,
Adrian
