Bad news Dave,   

Well, You did not get it from me. 

You can look forward to 7 to 10 days, in isolation, before you test negative (no longer contagious), then several more weeks of coughing and fatigue. Don't know what comes next... not got that far yet

Take care and isolate, even a closed bedroom door is enough to contain it.

Take care of yourself and get better!  Hopefully, you've had the vaccines - the say people who've been vaccinated tend to get much lighter cases and recover more quickly with fewer complications.  I'm going with that!

Its a type of dna test, confirms if its really covid, snd which strain. The quick tests are not as accurate, more false positive and negative results. Pcr is more expensive and takes longer but is more accurate.

Sorry to hear that Dave. Hope you clear it fast. I had all my shots and it only lasted a day and a half. Bit of a runny nose and a headache for about 8 hours. Hope it's just as mild for you bud!

Yes avoiding giving to my daughter is the big challenge.    She's a recent cancer survivor and is immo compromised.    She is vaccinated....but we will see.

My advice is not to be ambitious about it. SWMBO and I are in our late sixties and triple jabbed. I had a severe sore throat and general flueyness: herself slightly worse, taking one whole day in bed and sleeping most of it. In spite of getting off pretty lightly, we found we needed to take things slowly for two or three weeks afterwards, and for a few months afterwards we would each have an odd day when we had no go.
