Orphan engines......
« on: July 20, 2012, 09:38:05 PM »
I rarely build engines from scratch. Preferring to rebuild the engines which tend to congregate in my toy cupboard.  ;)

This is the most recent.

     Robbo.........

<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NLmL7mvh3VQ" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NLmL7mvh3VQ</a>

     Rizzo.......

<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZoifHwUtFY" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZoifHwUtFY</a>

       Robinson........

<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dx4MsDvT55A" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dx4MsDvT55A</a>

All the way from Australia.

     Huxtable........

<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O51U622VnuQ" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O51U622VnuQ</a>

Finally. Built from several household items.

Gold Blend......

<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0qzKfZfEuN4" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0qzKfZfEuN4</a>

Hope you enjoy watching, as much as I did building.

Several more are still awaiting attention in the orphanage.

Hi Andrew.
Thanks for saying that! I love Gold Blend too. Big, and silent, on the coffee table

Incidentally....... I bought a 9" dia stainless steel stockpot the other week. It's in my pending pile......

Huxtable. Not strictly speaking, an orphan.......    http://www.olds.com.au/stirling/

It came to me as a swap for a three cylinder Mamod, I'd built, around 2 years ago........   http://madmodder.net/index.php?topic=3356.0

As for finding them. They just seem to turn up, whenever the opportunity arises.
Like the Boggy type Scott engine, which came the other day.......  ;D

Hi Frazer.
It's nice to see we share another forum!  :)

"The Robinson"? Well, yes. That will be great. Which one are you building?

Have you seen this Robinson Saga? ..........     http://madmodder.net/index.php?topic=3555.0

The orphan list is almost endless.  ;D

Thanks Doc.

There seems to be several people, very interested in the Huxtable.

It is now gas fired. The project is "finished". I'll give it a run, and post a write up....... In a few days.

Probably!  ::)

Very sorry for the time delay, on this posting.  ::)

I got around to thinking, many members on here have not frequented Modder, since I started my orphanage projects.

So, here's a list of links for the above engine re-builds......
