Hello from Norfolk, UK
« on: August 17, 2022, 05:12:28 PM »
Hello everyone,
I retired a couple of years ago and started to equip my workshop. I have planned for a few years to take up model engineering once I had the time. I have built a Stuart Models 10v (badly) as a piece to learn from. I am building a Stuart Models beam engine, this time spending more time on measuring and setting up for machining than on the actual machining. It is going well so far.

I will endeavour not to annoy anyone with daft questions and any advice is always welcome.

Apart from usual bits of smaller tools and equipment, my main items are a Myford Super 7 and a mini mill.

Hi there!
And welcome to the forum!
Sounds like you've got a great project going already, can't wait for you to start a build thread and show us your progress!  (With pictures, of course!)

Sometime Daft questions are the only way to learn - but it requires 'Show and Tell'  ;)

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome. It appears I have joined a forum of exalted members. I hope I can learn a lot from everyone, goodness knows I need the help! My wife says I am beyond hope!
