Ransome & May Mill engine
« on: July 03, 2018, 05:19:41 PM »
Hi
I am thinking of having a go at building the Ransome  & May horizontal mill engine obtainable from Hemmingway. I can not find any details of anyone building this engine and wondered as there has been quite a few comments on the quality of castings lately if anyone had any experience with this set of castings. Any advice or comments will be gratefully received.

Many thanks

There is a member who seldom posts who has made this engine so not sure if you will get a reply from him, it is his engine in the photos and video on Hemmingways site as are most of the other external combustion engines.

Chris ( Modelsteam) has made that model engine.   I have not seen him around much  :noidea: Try sending him a PM.

P.S. He was on line this morning so you might be lucky  ;)

Sadly we have not yet seen a build of this model on the forum but we would like to  8)

If you would like to start a thread on the build and need any help I am sure the members would be happy to help  :)
