Flat 4 Lego Vacuum Engine

Test running my new (incomplete) engine on 1 cylinder.

It should run way better on 4 cylinders. As you can see it needs a huge flywheel, but on all 4 the hope is that it will self start and run without a large flywheel.

It doesn't seem to want to run on 4 cylinders. I don't know what's going on.

Enough air volume from the source for all four? Can you try it on each individually, or on just two?

The valve timing is correct. I got it to run around 250 rpm very briefly, then it stopped. I'm having problems with one extremely stubborn valve hanging open, even after oiling the heck out of it several times with vegetable oil. Of course, the oil managed to get in the studs holding 2 bricks together, and now that particular valve keeps falling apart. It looks good, but I guess it's not a very good design.

Interesting  engine I can remember doing similar with Meccano 60 years ago ??!!!!

More R & D required I think ??
