A YouTube video showing the engine as it was to running yesterday afternoon. It's tight at the moment so I might resort to judicious doses of Timesaver Lapping Compound here and there.

<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-c738MvoKEY" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-c738MvoKEY</a>

Work I have done so far =
New 1/4" thick brass base plate,
Repositioned main bearing.
New crankshaft
New valve chest
New Valve Rod
Bushed the bronze flywheel hub
Broached a 1/8 keyway in the hub
Skimmed the flywheel rim and painted it.

The engine still wheezes a lot and uses a lot of compressed air when running. I want to improve it so that my Stuart 504 boiler has a chance of driving it.

It's getting better all the time.

Funny enough I have recently drawn this one up and it could well be that the original cylinder came from Stevens too as it is a lot like yours.

That's beautiful. I like to watch it run at the speeds you are showing.

Congratulations and Thank You for posting.

Bedding in the new crankshaft using Timesaver lapping compound.
