Quality slitting saw arbors?

(1/1)

PJPickard:
Who sells them? I don't want to make one. Everything I see is cheap junk.
I'm intrigued by the Peterson flush end ones and there are a few on ebay but I don't know enough about them to tell if there are missing parts. I'm looking for arbor diams of say, 5/8", 3/4", 7/8"(I really want to find this size as I seem to have a ton of saws this size) and 1"

Thanks for any help!
Paul

crueby:
Do you want the type that screws onto the headstock, a morse or other taper on the end, parallel shank...?

Dave Otto:
Hi Paul
Here is one option,
https://sierraamerican.com/collections/general-purpose-arbors

They are distributed by Penn Tool,

I purchased a set of three arbors from Swiss Precision Instruments years ago, very nice quality; but it appears that they are not available any more. Seems that SPI imports most of their products from the far east these days.

PJPickard:
Thanks! Looking for straight shank or R8. Dave those look good. Yeah SPI...too bad they used to have lots of good stuff.

Dennis:
Take a look at Shars website.  I have purchases 2 straight shank arbors from them and they have been excellent.
