For the valve to switch to filling or pumping, I once made it out of Teflon.

And here they are, side by side.

I wish everyone a happy first of May.

Looks great  :praise2:  :praise2: Is the bell to confirm to the engineer that the lubricator is working?
Best regards

It's a real testament to your work that it can stand up to such close-up photos without a flaw or machine mark in sight, nor anything to give away the size. Beautiful detailing.

Ron

it continues with the chassis. The wheels are screwed to the boiler at the rear and can be steered at the front.
The plate has a rotation limiter so that the front wheels do not hit the boiler.
Now you can push the machine through the room. 🙂
Need a little pony or two!

Greetings Michael
The wooden wheel is so beautiful !!!

Thanks Ron.
And Roger the bell only goes off when the piston hits the bottom. Then the outer bolt jumps up and when the upper hand lever passes the bolt again, it loosens because it is on a left-hand thread. The release activates a ratchet and strikes the bell.

My goal was actually an operation under steam, but it is also possible with a little compressed air. The machine is in good condition. But the boiler is badly rusted. I like it that way too.

So have you both participated in completely restoring the original full sized version and build this marvelous model and documented it both in a German magazine + here on this site in English ...?

Yes, but both are now almost 10 years ago.
The large steam engine comes from the junkyard and used to be in a sawmill.
