Beware 2013
(1/1)
Pete49:
The closer to 2013 we get the more trouble I seem to encounter so I may hunker down in a cave for a year and do a Rip Van Winkle :Jester:
Today after a spell of honey do's and socialising commitments (not my scene really) and hot weather I headed back to the shed to cut the T slots in my R/T as the cutter arrived last week. Set up the table in the mill, set the speed and have at it. Well that went well now to set up the next 2 to cut and I'm done :cartwheel: OK all set so start to feed the cutter in and 1/4" in the bang tells me I am stuffed. The head of the mill (round column) moved and now the cutter is bent. !#@$ :censored:#%(&. Stop for lunch and I'll see if I can straighten it later. I hope this isn't the start of a year of crap :-\ The only upside is the cutter was $11 Hong Kong special though it did cut very well. Before it is suggested the Minister for Finance and War says the pension won't stretch to a new square column mill :LittleDevil:

You don't need to worry about 2013 as the world is going to end on 21 December according to the Mayan calendar.
You better get a replacement cutter ordered asap.

Bummer Pete.
Not to be morbid, I'd like to have seen a picture.
2013 will be a great year.
It has to be.
I can't deal with something worse than 2012.
Pete49:
Well all came good  I did a bit of work setting it up in the press and it straightened up OK ...a little bit of a wobble but it worked
Col I might order a new mill on credit and hope the world ends .
Carl ah yes pictures I keep forgetting to do that :facepalm2:  I agree mate 2012 hasn't been that flash for me either
