Hello all,
Only last week I found this very interesting forum. As I am in the last stages of building a 1:12 steam shovel model your contributions are very interesting and helpful. As I started making my model as complete newby to metal work (see my build report, texts in german, but many pictures), I am hoping to learn from your contributions and post my experiences.

Under Windows 10, your WEB link opens in English text, so I have just read & viewed the images in the 14 pages....thank you for posting

Congratulations on your steam shovel build to date....rather amazing from a self acknowledged self taught Model Engineer :cheers:

Hello Horst,
Welcome to the forum!  I was able to use Google Translate to view your build log (for others here, go to the Google Translate page, and paste the web link into the left hand box, set that to German, right one to English, then click on the 'translated' link in the right box.
Great to see another steam shovel model, very well done! I'll be following along on that one.

Nice build. I am sure we will all learn and enjoy anything you would like to contribute to our forum :) .


Anyone who would like to read Horst's pages in their own language from windows 10: go to the page, right click on the mouse and you will see one of the options is "Translate into English" (or which ever language you use). You will need to click to translate on each page ;)
