cappuccio candela di accensione. spark plug cap
« on: November 07, 2021, 02:48:46 PM »
Ciao a tutti
Io uso candela cm 6 e 1/4 32
Grazie per l aiuto.
Hello to all
I need spark plug caps for my internal combustion engines.
I have not yet found something truly valid and lasting.
Ideal for me would be caps where the high voltage wire can be welded or screwed directly.
I use cm 6 and 1/4 32  spark
Thanks for your help !!!!

I have not seen anything like that. I have some on the panther that have a spring in them. When pushed down onto the plug the wire gets pinched in the coils of the spring. The wire still pulls out easily so keep looking.
Do not be like the cat who wanted a fish but was afraid to get his paws wet.

I suspect you will be moulding your own. Someone on here detailed how to mould them  :noidea: .

Like Steve I have only seen them where the wire is pushed into the moulded plug and engages with the internal spring., the ones S/S used to do are quite neat and use this method. The other alternative is the flat clip type where you solder the wire to the clip, I've used these but they look better on period engines and you have to watch out for arcing as there is no insulation.

I would think anything that needs welding or has a clamping screw may look a bit bulky but depends on the look you are after.
