Which set up did / are you thinking of going with? I was very happy with DRO PRO’s on my mill. I needed some extra brackets which they sent FOC - so they have good support. There are cheaper options, but the operative word is “cheap”. Having the backup and tech support is worth having on systems like this.

DRO Pros all the way...Veteran owned....great service reputation...   If I'm going to go through the effort of putting it on this lathe...then it's going to be nice ones.

Are you thinking the magnetic slides then?

Probably.    The heads are smaller,  and glass scales can be very fragile...

Me too!    The dials are getting harder to read every year...and they were worn when I got her!

I know she's a great lathe now....though it has been 10 years since the rebuild....probably time for some new wicks

Hopefully Santa still has his workshop up north, and does not send things via the LA container ship port, or you will get the DRO next summer... 

Mine shipped already, so DRO PRO's Santa apparently has good stock levels.
