On Saturday I took an old friend (a confirmed diesel man) on an "educational" visit to steam day at Bolton Steam Museum :) :) Great to see everything working and we both had a good day. There was a small model section in a corner but I had forgotten my camera :cussing: :cussing:
It was lovely to see Peter Southworth's model of "Agnes"   I came away inspired.     Terry

Hi Terry

Its a while since I went to Bolton, I agree Peters "Agnes" is something to behold.
I hope mine might be nearly as good when I eventually finish it.

Here are a couple of photo's of Peter's.

This engine, from the very minute I saw it at an exhibition fired my modelling senses like no other. It was phoning Peter Southworth about it the next day that began the journey to building a Corliss of my own.

When I saw it the flywheel was not clad - what sticks in my mind still was the absolute perfection of joints of the rim segments.

Thanks for the reminder Phil - truly a masterpiece of model engineering

Regards - Tug
