GWR River Class Loco
« on: October 19, 2021, 12:15:38 PM »
This is a model of a GWR River class loco circa 1892 to 2.5in or G3 scale and is 28in over all. The engine was built using a CNC mill to cut most of the parts and a lathe, the wheels were cut from 1/4in ali and have steel tyre heat shrunk on. The engine has R/C and sound.

Stunning model!!  Interesting how they put the leaf springs up top with the rods down to the axle, clever design.

A really beautiful model of another classic loco from an era of superb design of very handsome engines.  A lovely thing!  Dave

Thanks for the kind remarks, it was a pleasure to build as one of my favorite engines.
