Whitmore & Binyon engine finished and assembly
« on: August 19, 2024, 12:25:05 PM »
I finally finished this model although I'm not sure about the colour, I tried a few paints but just wanted it finished but I can see where there are mouldings perhaps gloss would be better.
It's another one of those engines that  has to be assembled in a precise order or you will find yourself backtracking. I don't think you can buy the castings at the moment but the plans are available from Polly models. Here's my video.

That has turned out well

Talking with the Polly People a couple of weeks ago they can supply all the kits but it is on a cast to order basis although they are trying to build a small stock of the most popular models in the range.

Very fine model of this unusual engine : it runs beautifully, with an intriguing action to observe.  Video that goes through the build is very interesting, will be a big help to others thinking of making this model.  Dave
