Mike Started by running the Vee Twin:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iRyAxZbz6uk

The Anzani ran

The Gipsy:

And old reliable the Bentley:

Attendees were encouraged to stand down wind of the engines so they could appreciate the force of the engine (and get splattered with a fine spray of engine oil :-X ) The sensible ones just stood at the front:

We were not the only attendees, there were also traction engines:

And the odd monkey:

Steam waggons:

And they even came to visit us:

There was the boating lake:

This funny bird looking thing squirted water at the kids, which they clearly enjoyed:

There were a fair number of boats:

Of all sorts of kinds:

And another fun boat that always gets a positive reaction:

Hiding in the bottom loop was a collection of rather nice original hydroplanes and their engines:

A few in hulls:

But most just sat available to look at:

All original complete with silt from racing on the lakes 8)

Many thanks Jo, for giving non attendees an excellent overview of the show, which captured quite a lot of the essence of the big, ( and much regretted in their loss ), Guildford shows of old. Dave

Many happy hours looking out from our tent:

And just before we packed up at the end of the day:

A long very enjoyable day and other than one short shower the only other complaint I hear was that it was rather hot in the sun 8)

And the free bacon bap for breakfast and free cheese burger for lunch went down very well :P Which meant that we did not really need all those sticky-whatis but Mike generously kept hold of them just in case ::)

Jo,

A lovely set of photos and a good range of engines. You and Mike had nice array of engines and good to see some of them running.

Glad you had a good day and the rain stayed away most of the day.

That looks like a fun show, with lots of fascinating engines and other interesting things to check out. I will say that I didn't find the monkey odd at all... ;)

Thanks for sharing your pictures!

Ron

Hi Jo, It looks like a great show, well worth the trip to attend.

Thanks for posting all the pictures, something for all interests there.

May there be many more shows to come in future years, and you be well enough to take more pictures.

Thanks Guys. It took longer to resize the photos and load them than it did to take them  .

Did anyone notice the strap on Mike's engine running Workmate anchoring the back of it to the ground? If that was not there the workmate would be quickly go over due to the thrust from the engines.
