Life Saving Mask Modification
« on: January 06, 2021, 10:13:22 AM »
Here is a life saving modification to your non medical face mask, use a piece of soft copper wire the kind you find in house mains wiring and slide it into the edge seam of your mask, then mould the wired top of the mask to you face.
This will do two things,  seal your mask to your face and stop any foreign bodies in, also stop your glasses from steaming up thus proving the mask is sealed.
Try it and spread the word

Mike

That is simple and effective Mike

(Best make sure the wire is long enough that it doesn't try to sneak out through the material and catch your eyes/face  :paranoia:)

take a few seconds,  flatten the wire and round the ends,, I made a few for my wife early on, she now buys premade aluminum ones,, early on she replaced her older sewing machine(it was acting up) and has been sewing mask.. adjusted the pattern to fit over my honker of a nose and give a seal to prevent my glasses from fogging..
what the @#&% over

Plastic covered wire ties used on food bags etc are also useable to do this!

Pipe cleaners work well too and the "fuzzies" on them prevent them from sliding out of position in the mask.
