« on: December 11, 2020, 04:32:46 PM »
Recently completed Gauge3 LNWR Jubilee Class loco. The engine is entirely scratch built including the wheels, the chassis for the engine and tender where laser cut all the rest of the parts were cut on my CNC mill, the motor and gearbox is by Slaters. The engine and tender are 30in in length

Wow!  That looks beautiful, Mike!

So, what width is "Gauge 3".  I'm not super familiar with the various gauges.  Is it 1.5" gauge?  The same as G or larger?

Thanks,
Kim

Gauge 3 is 2.5in track gauge, the engine is battery powered and radio controlled. It is a project with another member of the G3 Society where I built two engines and Mike W built the tenders, and we split the cost of materials by half, thus we both end up with very economic models.

Thanks for the info, Mike.
Seems like a very successful joint project!

Thanks for the appreciative comments, I have not worked on a joint project before it seems to make sense if two people want the same model it reduces the amount of work and cost.
