I vote for Tel to explain it to us  ;D I seem to recall back in my dim and distant youth (a couple of years ago) he described it on MECH  ;).

Only my little home made one Jo - I have no experience with 'em otherwise. What seems to be the problem Dave? We should be able to nut it out.

Your little home made job is brilliant Tel. I was going to post a link to another site with it but don't want to get "told off" !

I'm working out the cutter geometry for a small Brown and Sharpe No 00 "BM" combination box and pointing tool.'

I have the Warner Swasey book on the subject and I am pawing through....it doesn't appear to be that mythical...though my cutting tool keeps moving.

I'm trying to take down a 1/4" diameter...eventually to .125...but mostly just playing around with my bed turret.

This tool has a two piece "V" follower...not rollers....it's a little thing.

I've found that to use the turret effectively with the saddle...I need some tool extensions.... ::)
