Title: Ben's Stuart ST
Post by: bwal on April 25, 2019, 11:23:43 AM
Hi,

Just about finished. I made a few mistakes and it's taken over 6 months to get this far. I separated from my wife, lost the house and kids, moved back home and had two new jobs whilst making it so I'm happy enough with the outcome.

I've painted the main body and cyclinder tonight and hoping to get back together over the weekend.

The airhose has a big cut in it.
Ben.

Nice engine Ben  :)

It looks like it uses the same cylinder castings as my twin

Finished.

Painted Blue (I've had the one spray can of Pacific Blue for about 3 years!).
It runs well when I hold the air hose the right way. I made a few mistakes, had to use JB Weld for the first time.

Ben.

Hi Jo,

The cylinders look the same. I had to file the vertical profile for the studs to fit the endcaps. So did AOG I think.

Nice result Ben, and the blue color sets it off well too against the brass parts.
