Hello,
I have recently got a lathe, but cannot find any clues to what make or model it is and therefore find any manuals etc for it. Could somebody please help identify this lathe?(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200125/2dfe9c51e14fe7f0b83df49674bbec99.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200125/a745d1742b05f24ad83dec54b24116ff.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200125/d920fbef6c85b5c5c83aa4bc5808fa57.jpg)

Welcome Brodie! I don't recognize your lathe but it looks like it could do a lot of good work. It has elements of several makes of lathes, ie bed like Hardinge, toolholder like UK made Myford, tailstock like old Monarch lathes. Compound rest handle curlicue style looks homemade possibly. Nice big motor.

If you had even an inkling of a name more information would probably be found here . . . http://www.lathes.co.uk/

If it's a dovetail bed, and based on that and the TS ...I'd guess a Myford....ML10 maybe....but Lathes.co.uk is your best bet

Cheers for the help,
Ive looked on lathes.co.uk at the myford ml10. It looks very similar but not exactly the same, maybe like an earlier version of the ml10? I have wondered if it might be some sort of homemade cobbling together of parts.

Also check Drummond.

The bed and the tailstock remind me of my colleagues Hardinge, but the cross-slide and top-slide look very similar to the Myford ML2/3 which I have squirreled away in the garage.

Well, so far Ive not had much success, I think the lathe may be home made. I have found a some serial numbers on certain parts however. For example the the headstock has M53 engraved in it, if this is any help identifying where it comes from?(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200201/141ce1de74ca497a205dbe3b455aa184.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200201/832ef455ecf90ccbc7c68a506aef21a3.jpg)
