Title: Mill Engine
Post by: michaelr on June 10, 2017, 07:13:21 PM: Living only twenty miles or so from Silloth Cumbria the home of Carrs flour mill I didn't know about the Mill's museum, being there today for a vintage rally I spotted the signs for the museum so had a visit.
It made my day seeing the persevered mill engine although it's not in steam it is working, next time I will take my video cam.

DMC do plans for a similar arrangement,same basic set up just the trunk guide / bearing pedestal that is different really. You see quite a few of this type of engine modeled in Germany.

Post by: crueby on June 21, 2017, 10:34:25 PM: Thanks again for the link to DMC - I found they had a nice set of plans for a Stanley steam car, they arrived today, very nice plans. Ordering was complicated since they only take a bank transfer, but it was worth it.
