This is my recently completed "Tiny" Gasoline Engine based on Arv's design. It includes George Britnell's design for the flywheels, rocker arm and connecting rod. The sparkplug is a combination of Arv's design and my own. The stand for the rocker arm, adjusting screw/locknut, pivot pins with cotter pins and the exhaust are my design. The cotter pins are .014" (.36 mm) diameter made from half round .014 music wire.

Great pictures Bob. They really show it off well and I like the base too.
Bill

Thanks Kim.
Thanks Bill. The base is just a piece of aluminum channel. I have a strong aversion to the brown stuff.

Thank you for your kind words gentlemen.
It has literally rained everyday since my last post and the forecast continues to show rain. (I may have to start building an arc as a new hobby.). Eventually, I will get a video posted.

I am glad to see the weather broke long enough to get the video in Bob. It starts and runs great!! You are going to have a blast showing that one off. Now as to the weather I am afraid there may be more heading your way this week from the tropical storm/hurricane moving up from the gulf. Maybe it's time to stay inside and start a new project :)

Great one Bob!
At one point in the video, I could hear it run, see the valve going...but the flywheels were so true I couldn't tell they were spinning. Nice!
-
Congratulations on a beautiful engine, Bob!

Thank you everyone. I am very happy with this engine build. I learned a lot and ventured into "uncharted waters". There were a lot of firsts with this one which yielded a deeper a sense of accomplishment.
Carl- Untrue flywheels a a pet peeve of mine. I try hard to have mine run true.

Thank you Achim and Gas_mantle.

Looks and sounds good :praise2: :praise2: :wine1:

Thanks Roger.
I have to say, I love running this thing. I ran a full tank of gas non stop through it today which yielded close to a half an hour continuous run time. It just purred along and I sat there starring it with a big dumb smile on my face.

I have always enjoyed building models of almost everything but I think I get the most satisfaction when I get an internal combustion engine running. Congratulations Bob. Excellent job!
