OK guys and gals. My Aciera has "Grease" fittings for oil, both on the spindle and the ways and gear box.
I've modified some grease guns to inject oil, but they leak like a sieve. Time to get some real oil guns!
who sells them!..and where?

Are these the fittings with the little spring loaded balls Dave?

Yup....Zerk style fittings....but they're not for grease...very typical European set up.
Mobil #6 DTE spindle oil
Vactra #2 otherwise.

Hi Dave,
In my remote corner of the world even buying a decent oil can is hard. For the oilers on my F3 I made a little brass adapter for an existing oil can with a recess for an O ring to make a seal on the nipple (see pictures attached). This arrangement isn't ideal for oilers that point straight up but there aren't many of those.
Hope this helps!

Hi Dave,
Now that’s cunning!
Take it that the o ring is just a neat push fit?

Hi Kerrin,
Yes, if you squeeze the trigger without pushing the nozzle on to an oiler then the O ring goes flying. Just have to be careful...

Thanks Dave

Hey Dave,
Thanks for that! What I could do pretty easily ...I think....is convert a conventional oil can with a flexible kneck to hold the grease gut tip. I'll look into doing that.

I use the one that came with my lathe, similar to this only larger.

It does a pretty good job of pumping oil into the fittings. Before I got my lathe someone had removed all the oil fittings to keep people form pumping grease into the ways. I replaced them with standard Zerk fittings which work ok, but probably not as well as the original oil fittings. Do you know if the oil fittings have a different shape than a standard grease Zerk?

A standard zerk tip fits on the fittings. Thats all I know
2 of those oil guns should work just fine....ill save my sheckles....
