Here is a video of my initial model of a Hicks engine. Its about 17cc and speed regulated by adjustment of the the inlet valve. This engine was to prove the concept could be modelled and next will be a model with more realistic detail.

I could but it is unlikely as this is the first engine I've made. I hope to get a 1/6 scale Monterey clipper built and use the detailed engine to drive it. I have a couple of other big projects in the pipeline so it's all taken a bit of a back seat at the moment.

Is the reverser functional?
Thanks. The clutch lever is just hiding a small flywheel with the magnet for the hall sensor. The important thing for me with this engine was to control the speed / power using the inlet valve lifter. That works to a degree using just the surface carb so I am happy to assume it will work better with a regular carb.
