Small driving wheels tells me it is a freight loco but that is as far as my knowledge of Choochoos goes :shrug:

Hi again, it is 2.5in gauge and I could find nothing about it as the builder is no longer with us.

I wish I knew a lot more as I got a 3.5in LMS Black, train & tender, just needs a few bits put back on mainly in the cab and the brakes sorting out underneath. would like some advice on that one to get it complete.

Thank you Jasonb I am sure you are right, even the tender is the same, I needed to know as it is going on fleebay to fund my other two trains I bought a 3.5 in gauge LMS Black 5 and a 2.5in gauge LMS Black 5

Well, assuming it is not freelance, it will not be an LMS or GWR engine because it has a round-top, parallel boiler. There are two relevant published designs known to the 2-1/2" Gauge Association, viz:

I think your model could be the 'Nigel Minor'.
If you are going to sell it you might do better to describe it as a locomotive. Not a train.
