I am a long-time reader of this forum, and a hobby machinist with a couple of years experience. I got interested in model engine building and have successfully built two simple IC engines: a WF 46 "Firefly", which actually runs, and a Lynx, which is nearly completed. I have taken photos during the build and could post a build log, if anyone is interested, but then there are good build logs of both engines somewhere else on the net. Pictures attached, I hope they show up.
My latest acquisition is a set of castings for an antique aero engine, and I really don't know what to do with it. But it's probably better if I post this question in the "engines from castings" forum...
Cheers

:hi: Wolfgang, Nice Engines 8)
Yes please to the build logs: they will help other build their engines :)
I am into building early aero engines from castings :naughty: Which engine is it you have to build?

Hi Wolfgang, welcome to MEM.
I hope you will start the build log of the Lynx soon.
A nice place here to share fun.

Hello Wolfgang, welcome!
The Lynx sure looks interesting

Many thanks to all for the welcome, and I will start a build log of the Lynx soon. Not a real time report, of course, as I started building it in December last year. The engine is nearly finished now, and so I can post faster then I build!
