Hello everybody,
This is my last baby. A double star 14 "cylinders" solenoid engine.
A very small thing that runs standing in one hand.
4 stroke cycle, as usual for me. Push only solenoids. So, rods are pushed instead of pulled. Direct switching via a collector-brush device. A gear system makes it turn on the axle of the crankshaft. As close as possible to real star engines.
No speed control system, this time. Speed only depends of power supply voltage.

That is totally awesome Hagar. Like Chris said, it sounds as good as it looks too!!!

Very nice. What did you use for the solenoids? Are they commercial or home made?
Thanks

Wow, very impressive. You should be very proud of such a masterpiece.

I'm not usually a fan of solenoid engines, but this is great.
Super nice job!

Thanks.
Glad you all like this toy.
I wanted to create my own star engine. Now i have a "know how" in solenoid engines, it had to be this kind of machine.
It's been a pleasure to design and build.
AOG : solenoids are tiny commercial items. Chinese things found on ebay for a few money. It's quite long to arrive but for the price...
I've machined aluminum dummy cylinders to wear them.
Very soft slide of the mobile rod and good spring recall. They all worked. But it's still secure to order more than needed...

Really trick design and execution Hagar!
